Alverno Heights Academy is an independent, Catholic school for girls and boys in grades TK-8. 2nd Grade Teaching Aid: Alverno Heights Academy in Sierra Madre is offering a position to an enthusiastic 2nd grade teaching assistant to fulfill the following:

• Assist a teacher or team of teachers to carry out a developmentally appropriate curriculum in reading/language arts, math and social studies for individuals, small groups, and an entire classroom of children. Perform supervision duties as needed.
• Promote learning in the areas of academic, social-emotional, and physical development and motivates the enthusiasm of children to actively participate the learning process.
• Verbally communicate with children in a positive manner. Communicate clearly and honestly in verbal electronic and written form with administrators and colleagues.
• Demonstrate professionalism thorugh reliability, punctuality, cooperation, organization, participation in meetings, and staff development opportunities, as well as personal appearance and self-care, and maintains personal integrity and a respectful attitude in professional relationships. 
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
